Our Star Search service is a new and different recruitment offering. Although in its infancy, Star Search is successfully providing clients with a unique recruitment experience. Sharing elements of both agency and inhouse recruitment, Star Search is going above and beyond to find talent for a variety of clients across various industries.
Star Search has some obvious differences from other recruitment ages…
Firstly, we work with clients that HR Star already provide a HR service for and a successful working relationship in place. Star Search aims to fully understand client culture and values, which the recruitment process needs to be aligned with. Working in this way ensures Star Search find the very best candidates for our clients.
Star Search form a partnership with their clients from the start, taking time to meet with the hiring manager to get a full understanding of the role, the company and the ideal candidate. The service also includes; creating job adverts, shortlisting candidates and attending interviews. We can also create and run assessment centres, carry out personality profiling and job matching.
If the role our client is recruiting for requires specialist candidates, Star Search can provide a project management service which involves liaising with third parties to source candidates along with managing the process on behalf of the clients, further ensuring we find the best talent out there.
Star Search can also include management of the onboarding of new employees, which typically involves negotiations on salaries, start dates, obtaining references, producing offer letters, contracts of employment and liaising with candidates until they start within the business. This can be time consuming for business owners, but it is so important to get this right to ensure new employees are welcomed and inducted into the business properly from day one.
Another significant difference between Star Search and traditional recruitment agencies is the fees that Star Search charge; this is typically between 5-8% of the starting salary for lower level roles, increasing to 10% for more senior positions. From experience we understand that cost is the one of the most important factors and affordable recruitment is key.
