The team at HR Star are like no other. We call ourselves ‘the dream team’ because as cliché as it sounds, we really do go above and beyond for our clients. No two days are the same and we all work extremely hard because we’re passionate about employee engagement, the service we provide, and supporting each other.
Being a small business brings the beauty of the ‘family feel’. Sometimes its intense, sometimes emotions run high, but for the majority, there is love, care, and fun in all that we do, together, as a team. Our roles are challenging, our work is engaging, our ideas are innovative, our approach is collaborative, and our attitude is driven. The autonomy in each of our roles means job satisfaction is high, and the opportunities to learn are abundant.
Despite our size, we are keen to practice what we preach and reward our team for their dedication and hard work. Meet the team
Founder & Managing Director
As our founding star, Kelly established HR star in 2015 and has over 15 years’ experience in the HR world having worked for leading local companies including Renishaw, Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust and Lloyds TSB (formally C&G). Kelly is a proactive HR professional and firmly believes that HR should be fun, engaging and provide a healthy environment for all to flourish.

Senior People Advisor
As our people star, Holly knows all about people and how to get teams to function optimally. Holly started her career in HR and Recruitment 3 years ago, and studied her Level 5 CIPD in 2019 before joining the HR Star team. Holly believes businesses thrive with an active HR team at their core who can listen to their employees, act on their feedback and create a happy workforce for all. Holly works tirelessly with clients to make positive changes, whether that be through simply just listening to them, coaching them, or by using their feedback to make strategic recommendations to Directors.

People and Talent Administrator
As our people and talent star, Caz joined the team in 2020 having had previous roles in project management and resource planning. Whilst on maternity leave, Caz realised that what she loved about work was the people. After completing her CIPD level 5 in the summer of 2020, Caz wanted to pursue a role in HR with a team that shared her passion for people. As a firm believer that people are a business’ greatest asset, Caz has seen first hand that people perform best when they are happy and engaged in their role.

As our operations star, Amy has over 10 years’ administration experience covering HR, recruitment, personal admin and operations. Since 2019, Amy has been fundamental to the success of HR Star by supporting all areas of the business. Amy ensures everything runs seamlessly, from assisting on research, to business planning, to liaising with clients, and organising team days. Amy believes the team’s creativity, passion, efficiency and progressiveness is an award-winning partnership for any organisation.

As our Talent Star, Pippa brings a wealth of experience across various sectors of businesses, such as customer service, sales, recruitment and management.
Pippa thoroughly enjoys working with clients to gain a real understanding of the role that she’s recruiting for, as well as the culture of the organisation so that she can provide them with the perfect match every time. She believes in developing the best relationships possible, with both candidates and clients, going above and beyond to understand their needs and deliver a comprehensive recruitment service. She has a ‘can do’ attitude and loves to be kept busy.

Learning and Development Specialist
As our learning star, Marita believes the first step when it comes to learning and development is a conversation to understand individual and organisational goals. With over 15 years in the travel, property, charity and higher education sectors, Marita loves to understand what a business needs, and coaches people to help the business prosper. Marita is also a qualified Mental Health First Aid instructor and DiSC facilitator so supports wellbeing, leadership, and teamwork in a credible and trusted way.
